My passive does this as well and I'm using it to power some 'mid' speakers. Also seems to happen when it goes to different speaker modes as well.

Hi Keith, In the UK, on a SKY line that is split at entry for broadband, so that filters aren't required. It's been working for years and nothing on the setup has changed so the 'SON(?)number' on the line hasn't changed. :-(
