I'm glad that you found the problem and yes, the old electronics can be dogdy sometimes. The 4400 is a great design and the Beomaster 6000/8000/5000-series shares the same overall design, though some changes had been made. It is a great product that will win against many modern receivers and amplifiers costing much more than the price of it - recapped

You must be sure that the wires are not touching. Magic smoke is almost certain to appear if doing so

Hello, According to the specifications on Beoworld: one Beovox RL45.2 is 6,8 kg and one RL60.2 weighs 8,3 kg. Remember to calculate the weight of the packaging too.

What an achievement it is A great product launched at the right time work wonders, thinking of the Beosound 8 as the new HX-Pro: something already invented (Dolby HX) to be perfected by B&O and become a massive sucess

Strange, my repairman said he had never experienced that failure before, and he had been working as a radio mechanic for B&O 1975-2000. Installed the last caps and tested if it was working. No sound. Neither on FM... Turns out that a couple of wires were disconnected (oops )

Axel has retipped four cartridges for me, one being an MMC6000 fitted with the 179€ option with shibata shaped diamond on a sapphire cantilever. Quality is exellent

The Beo4 is one of my favourite designs by him

My Beomaster 5500 has worked fine with datalink on two Beogram 8002's and an 8000. It is right that the 6500 and other newer audiomasters have Datalink on the different pin than the old standard.
