Under the BS5 FAQ, B&O talks about lossless formats. At least they are providing a reason for the lack of Apple Lossless support: Which lossless formats are supported by my BeoSound 5? Bang & Olufsen supports Windows Media Audio Lossless (WMA Lossless) and Free Lossless Audio Codec (FLAC). However, we are not able to support Apple Lossless Audio

I believe the description of the update also mentioned the ability to have multiple cover art images. On the B&O website, under the BeoSound 5 FAQ, there is more info on the 6th page regarding new features, including info about the music server selection. It seems that only one music server can be selected at a time. Also, in the settings the BeoMaster

I, too, made the update. Similarly, all of my cover art is now gone and is replaced with a B&O logo cover. I'm hoping this is just temporary while the BS5 is processing cover art for Beo6 compatibility. I do like the improved menu structure.

[quote user="Karel Uyttendaele"] ... and it's realy not that much asked for.. the BeoSound 5 (Encore) has a stunning interface... that you can't control if the BeoSound is across the rooms... so.. an app for the iPad that mimics the UI of the BS 5.. now that would be an application where I'm willing to spend some Euro's on

I currently use a BeoSystem 3 in the living room and a BeoSystem 1 in the den. The BeoSystem 1 has plenty of connections (once you add a Zektor expansion box) and plenty of PUC control. The big drawbacks you'll run into are the lack of HDMI and lack of 720p. The BeoSystem 1 only offers 480p and 1080i as HD. This limits you to the first gen Apple

I was told by my dealer that wi-fi control of BeoSound 5 via Beo 6 would NOT rely on MLGW.

I'm wondering if the updates that will open up the BeoSound 5 to wi-fi control (via the Beo6) will extend wi-fi control to the rest of the MasterLink system much like the MasterLink Gateway. Not in the sense of controlling blinds, lights, etc., but just in the sense of translating the wi-fi control to MasterLink control of the other connected B&O

DLNA seems logical with the BeoSound 5 Encore, but will those features also extend to the original BeoSound 5? I'd hate to see those of us who were early adopters get left out. I'm glad to see that B&O isn't just focused on DLNA and Windows with the BeoPlayer app, but that AirPlay is so nicely integrated with the BeoPlayer app. AirPlay

Does anyone know if the control for the AT&T U-verse is available in the PUC? I would need it in the PUC for my BeoSystem 3 in the living room, Avant in the bedroom, and BeoVision 4/BeoSystem 1 in the den. Is it listed under something else?

I know that it's been stressed that the new BeoPlayer app for iPhone, iPad, etc. is only intended to add n.radio stations and a clock to the apple device for the BeoPlayer 8; yet, I can't help but think about the potential of this. Once the BeoSound 5 is updated for compatibility with the Beo6, it would seem SO logical and easy for B&O to
