Hi: I have a related question: I want to get my mother-in-law a couple of Avants - one for her lounge, one for her bedroom. Reason being, I am hoping to get these cheap - as presents, convincing and coercing her into not to get a Bose sound system (the small ones that are seen in the supplements). My plan was to master link the two televisions so she

Hi: I have exactly the same televiosn yet mine does have a sound menu. I am currently working but would be able to go through my TV menu with you at around 8pm UK time to see if you have a fault. Wild guess: What remote are you using, the Beo4 or the one that was shipped with early beovision1's (the one with no number pad) if the latter this maybe

Hi: This is a fairly new trick to me. I think I picked it up on here and I have used it on several occasions. It has proved to be invaluable. Graham

Hi: Probably the best choice re-stand. I have ranted about the specific stand for this TV before. I think it is OK but only if you have modern decor. Other people do not agree but having been watching too many Lost in Space episodes before going to bed of late, I expect any TV on that kind of stand to start rolling forward whilst bellowing "Warning

Hi: What size screen does the Beovision 3 you are looking at have? Having never used a Beovision 3 I can only give you limited information but perhaps it will kick the thread off: The 28" model is inferior to the 32" model because the 28" uses a screen/chasis derived from the MX range of TVs whereas the 32" has a screen/setup simillar

Hi: The simple answer is yes you can on both counts. However, the results you get maybe disappointing. I know little about Macs as I don't use them. However, my friend has an old Ibook and the headphone socket on that doubles as a Video Out perhaps on newer Macs there is a simillar or better interface. We plugged her computer into my Beovision 1

Hi: Welcome to Beoworld! It is almost certainly not worth repairing in fiscal terms unless the problem is simple and you can fix it yourself. B&O CRT televisions are very cheap at the moment and will probably continue to be so. On eBay you can buy similar working televisions for <£30. Although for how long they will remain working is obviously

These are available from LifestyleAV, the company that owns this site. I think the last time I checked they were priced at £295. Thanks Graham

Symbian phones have had a piece of software which has enabled people to control their TVs and the like for a while. Needles to say I couldn't get it to work on my Motorola A925 or A1000 (at the time). I like the idea but would prefer a Beo 5 or something integrated into the house for show off factor. I don't know why this is being touted as

Hi: I would guess that it won't play at 50hz either hence the orange tinge or whatever. It almost certainly won't play at 60 hz! The only thing I can suggest is changing the scart adaptor, I had one with more teeth than necessary and for some reason that was causing it not to register properly with one of my televisions. Although the Hz thing
