Thanks for the info on this thread. Frankly, I'm not much of a fan of going to my local guy which is why I was asking here. I think I'll just get an active unit and hardwire it. There'll be a cable running down the hall but I can live with that.

Hi, I was thinking of getting a floor stand for my BS4. I noticed on STB that they have adapters to use the BC2 floor stand. What would this do for me? I mean, why would you use that one rather than just a BS4 floor stand? Also, does anyone know what the stand would run me in either Europe or Australia? I have the feeling it would be cheaper for me

So if the BS4 and the beoport are in the same place, connected by a ML distribution box, with the Mac Mini also in the same place then I'm in good shape without the eye? Because that seems like it would be quite redundant to need that as well.

Maybe I'm missing something obvious (because I don't have my B&O equipment here yet) but as far as I can tell I'll need an IR eye on my Beoport to control iTunes with the Beo4, is that correct? Or is that only if it's not hooked to a Mac? I think usually it just reads the info through the BS4 in my living room or the BL3500 in my

Cool thanks. What kind of cable is it and where did you get it? As far as I can tell, the active link system has ports for ML, a powerlink port, power, and a port for the IR eye. Is that right? I've never actually seen one in real life :-/

Does anyone here have Beolink Wireless? Is it worth it? Is the sound just as good as wired like B&O claim? I'm considering running a cable to one room then wireless to the next since it would look a little silly running so much cable around. Basically, you need one Wireless piece for each section (one at the stereo system, one in each room where

Hola, I was planning to use a pair of BL4000 in our spare bedroom on a link system. This is straightforward. I was wondering if it's possible to also use it with my computer in that room?
-
Exactly what I was looking for thanks! Anyone got this to work with a Beo5?

Hi, I remember awhile back seeing a reference to a device that will let me control non-B&O products with my Beo4. Can someone please remind me what this is called. And does it have to be line of sight like a normal remote or can I just wave my Beo4 around willy-nilly like with B&O products?

Samsung speakers have always been terrible. All consumer TV speakers are terrible. I plugged a pair of BL4000s into the Toshiba LCD I use to have, just right into the RCAs, and had good success. But they'd pop when changing the channel sometimes. I assume it's because that Toshiba was a raging piece of junk. Now I have a Samsung and the sound
