Peter, You are quite correct about the shell being in two halves, normally splitting apart easily once the plug is opened. However, there were some (late 1980's) plugs used by B&O which had a one-piece metal shell, requiring a different (and rather tricky) arrangement to open:- 1) Prise off the plastic outer cover (towards the cable) 2) Cut

Very nice! You may hate me for saying this, but there is an another (possibly easier) way of adding your subwoofer! Attenuated speaker cables can be used to connect an active (ie. powered) subwoofer directly to the 2 pin speaker outputs of the amp without damage (by reducing the amplified signals back down to a variable line level). This will allow

Hi Dom, Peter and Chris are quite correct. Pins 6 and 7 in the DIN plug are the potential failure point. Whilst only one pin is needed for data (pin 7 except for TV's and non-amplified Beograms), connection of the other pin (Data Ground) gives a more reliable data stream in electrically noisy environments (eg. near to air conditioning motors, etc

Hi, Sorry for the delay in replying, I've just seen your post (the past few weeks have been very busy!) Beogram 7000 (1992-1994) should have a captive Datalink cable with a 7 pin DIN plug fitted as standard, whereas from memory I think the earlier Beogram 8000 (1981-1982) had a 7pin DIN socket on the back so that a removeable lead could be fitted

Hi StUrrock, Thanks for the kind words! If you like good stained-glass windows, check out Sainte Chapelle in Paris, IMHO it beats even the Sagrada Familia Cheers, Steve.

Hi patroclos, Glad to hear your problem is solved! Best regards, Steve.

Hi Peter, The minimum I can have made is a batch of 10 turntable wall shelves, but if I get requests for 5 shelves in total, then I'm happy to get the whole batch made and keep the price down to the previous level (£39.99 GBP). I will worry about what to do with the other 5 shelves afterwards! Any enquiries are welcome via my sponsor link

Hi Guys, I've just checked and my customer needs an adapter for an Earset 1, not Earset 3 - hence the confusion! Earset 1 has the smaller 2.5mm plug, whereas Earset 3 has the standard 3.5mm plug. Hope this helps, Steve.

Hi TripEnglish, Thanks for that information! I was assured by my customer that his EarSet 3 had a 2.5mm minijack that would not fit his iPhone, but I don't have one here at the moment to check the connector size. I will look into this further! Thanks again, Steve.

Thanks Mark, Glad you like the shelf, I've got all of my turntables mounted high up on the walls at the moment, as my daughter is now nearly 2 years old and loves playing with Daddy's shiny toys that make music..... Best regards, Steve.
