Yeah they are. This one is an EU model. It was never released in the EU only N.America. There are but a few rare prototypes around.

I am thinking getting one of these to use with my non-B&O TV for a few years until I can save for the BV-7 or I may wait until the BV-7 is retired (maybe a long wait but I have a 40" 1080p already). How can you connect it to modern systems? Sorry for the noobish question.

I would personally wait but if you don't have an upscaling DVD player then it is a bargain.

Okay, I have pretty much narrowed my beosound future down to two choices. Either a new Beosound 4 or a secondhand beosound 9000 they go for about the same price here. I am leaning towards the BS4 as it will be Japanese spec and the BS9000 would probably come from lifestyle-AV (adding shipping etc the BS4 seems more sensible). I have BL4000s at the moment

They have auto stand-by. So when you use them they will come on and after 3 minutes they will turn to red (aka standby)

The value depends on the condition and the colour (black/black/ alu/black or white black?). They are great sounding systems. If you want to really pump up the system get the 4000s they are fantastic speakers. The beolab 4s aren't that great compared to the 4000s but still good speakers.
