  • Re: Beocord 9000 auto-calibration

Well it looks like you are using what's new in stores right? Cassete tapes today are not what they used to be. The golden age were 1980 to 1993 somewhere along those years.

  • Re: What was your first B&O purchase and why did you purchase?

Good question. With the collection being what it is today it would be cool to think back a bit. Let's see I had a JVC 3cd stereo system and got a Beogram 1202 from my parents. One day I noticed an ad for a Beogram 2000 in another part of the town I was living in for not much. I decided to go and have a look. The Beogram 1202 was fine and still is

In my case I think its more misuse of tapes. I was not really into tapes as much but only had cassete players for the reason of being able to play tapes and they were always in my different form of stereos from 1989 and up to this day. A cheap medium to have music on. With Beosystem 6000 and 8000 I got Beocords with them. The Beocord 9000 came first

  • Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?

I have just been cleaning heads on the Beocord 9000 today so its playing a home recording on Shubidua's 9 and 10 album that came out 1980/81. As darkness comes the lights are clear. Yes it is a white Beomaster 8000 and still yet to be serviced for the first time. No radio signals, display error and no input on tape 2 but everything else is fine

  • Re: What to do with broken Avant?

I second that. What do you get Beovision wise for the cost of the repair bill? I was in the same kind of situation when I got my '98 AV9000 last year. It got a full B&O service in Struer and has been working great since. Not many hours on the clock running wise either. Was it worth it? Yes indeed. It will work long into the future and it will

  • Re: Am I being....

Since 2008 I have had an old school B&O thread on a Danish hifi site. It mainly covers my B&O for 85% of the time. Its 41 pages to this day mostly in Danish but it shows up great on google.dk This picture has been so far stolen twice as its number 2 in a picture search on google for Beovox CX100. First time it was set at £250 and second

  • Re: Flash your B&O!

One of the top 5 favorites of my photobucket account. The first time I've had the white Beosystem 6000 complete. Beomaster 6000, Beocord 6000, Beogram 6006 + SC60 stand and CDX. All fixed by Dillen exept Beocord 6000. Beovox S120 rebuilt by Dillen Beovox S80.2 also rebuilt by Dillen My Beocord 9000 serviced by Dillen. The one that started the interest

  • Re: A Wonderful (New) Beogram 8002

Your welcome. With the age of B&O designet by Jacob Jensen these days you will find or I did on purpose on a budget that it will pay the most. My Beogram 8002 was the first to Dillen and after that it became a habit while the arrival of both Beosystem 6000 in white and 8000 came in more or less dead condition. Each unit had some faults some worse

  • Re: Beocord 9000 auto-calibration

I will do later today. The manual is right. I found the answer to the Metal tape selection in the manual too. Some Metal tapes do not have the holes that the Beocord identify as Metal type so you have to select it manualy. Then it says better still use the auto calibration. In any case even if the tape gets a NO store red light the recording is still
