Hey again Martin, do you know how much voltage ripple is typical on the power supply lines? It was a couple days ago that I checked, but I think I remember it being about +/- 20mV. Thanks again, Austin

Awesome Keith, you definitely deserve it!

Don't they already have a similar current program for trading in Pentas towards beolab 5's or 9's? I remember seeing a sign about it last time I was at a dealer.

Reynhorn: I found a repair shop near by that specializes in B&O products and they just laughed at me. They told me they had a stack of those 1203 and just threw them away. We are living in a material world. -Reynhorn Tell them "oh, next time you get a stack of any B&O stuff you're about to throw away just let me know and I'll come

Wow, when I first read Keith's suggesting about the headphones, I thought "wouldn't he realize if he had the headphones plugged in?" I hadn't thought that you could have an adapter plugged in. Many times people will leave things like those adapters plugged into sockets on newer digital stuff like computers, and be fine since the

Oh wait, I forgot you said both speakers don't work, so I guess it's not a fuse. Well if you're bored you may want to check the fuses anyway. Sometimes in situations like this I'll check or try things even when I don't think they're responsible for the issue, simply because along the way I sometimes discover the real issue. Austin

I highly suspect the fuses. A quick look at the circuit schematic shows two 4 amp slow-blow fuses wired into the +/- 45 volt power supply, independent of the lower voltage supply lines used to power the displays. It's the +/- 45 volt lines that would be powering the main amplifiers. This means that one of the main amp fuses could blow, while still

Banner ads would be fine as long as there's no annoying flash and popups. I really doubt simple banner ads would bother the members. As for the prize draw, I'd actually prefer if there were more prizes but at smaller values. For example, rather than having one prize be a 1000GBP gift certificate, split it into 3 prizes of 200GBP gift certificates

Hi Mike, Are you talking about those beolab 5000's that were on ebay and didn't sell for his starting price of $600? I was tempted by those also, but I've got too much on my plate to worry about right now. Chris, is the comparison between the 5000's and the pentas really split 50/50 between the members? I always thought it was Graham

I haven't checked the service manuals to verify, but if I recall correctly the only difference between the 6500 and 7000 is that the 7000 has RDS, meaning it displays the names of radio stations. In terms of the beolink 7000, it will work with both beomasters. Austin
