I have begun to rip my DVDs to my mac as VIDEO_TS folders. I know some of you have also done this and play them back via VLC when using DVDPedia. My problem is that I have ripped my Alien quadrilogy, and all four movies chrashes in the DVD root menu in VLC on both Mac and Win, but I then noticed that the build in DVDplayer in Tiger can playback VIDEO_TS

Sounds strange, now the picture and link works here, and it should be viewable for everyone. If it still won't work, I'll try and explain. The display is just blank and backlit, and when the ringing tone sounds all the of the displaydots turn black, and then turns back to being blank and backlit, it looks really strange. Coolskin, do I understand it correctly that you don't compress the DVD, but use the full size VIDEO_TS file from the DVD?? Can I ask how much time it usually takes to rip the movie??
