• Re: Beolink 7000 + two-way - this shouldn't have worked but did!

Bentleyman; you need to go to the panel setup and add the radio, cd, a-tape etc. sources again. When adding components the BL will send a signal to check if the equipment is 1/2-way capable. Perhaps there were later software revisions of the BM5500 that allow the use of the BL7000. Interesting would be to know if there are other models like that, too

  • Beolink 7000 + two-way - this shouldn't have worked but did!

I bought a Beolink 7000 recently, even that I don't have any two-way B&O, at least not yet! Today I visited a relative of mine from whom I got my first experiences of B&O. I took the BL7000 with me to show it. At his livingroom there is a BM5500 which should work two-way only with a MCP5500, according to this and this (thread by rgs218 from

  • Re: Crossover of Beovox 3000 flat panels?

To finish the story: After the post above I didn't get to replace the caps until last week. I bought new caps from Martin and replaced them today. The rear of the cabinet is fastened by 10 Torx T15 screws. Between the two halves of the cabinet there is a foam gasket which I removed immediately as it was almost disintegrated. The crossover board

  • Re: Gee, is it another Beomaster?

I have been enjoying a B&O ambiophonic system for some weeks at work. I have there a BM4500 and BV3000 flat-panel speakers. I bought the B&O ambiophonic adapter some moths ago from eBay. At home I had a pair of CX50 speakers having almost no use so I decided to have a try. I must say it's worth testing if you have all the bits and enough

  • Re: Beomaster 1900-2 without right channel sound

The silent channel can also be because of a broken slider. All the sliders (treble, bass, balance) carry "information" of both channels and the sliding mech. can break down causing a lost of a channel. The slider can be repaired by glueing the parts back, I have done it few times and it really works.

  • Re: Beovox S75: your opinion?
And I'm not in a hurry, I'm really happy with the S75 for now. Maybe if I can get a good deal somewhere nearby some day...
I had a pair of S75 which I bought for a very little money, replaced the caps in the crossovers, sanded-and-oiled the wood and repainted the stands that had rust on them. I
