How do you get the belt holders apart to get a belt loop in place ?

Is there a way to get the belt holder apart so you can try out differant materials, I have one that has a broken belt but I can't split it to try anything else out.

If you drive the 3800 very hard with certain types of music it can damage the tweeters. They sound a quite a bit more top end than the 5700. The 5700 are probably not as good as the 3800 at low sound levels, but crank up the volume and the 5700 are rather better, you'll need a big room though, and you might want to stand a goodly distance away because

Sounds like the latching mechanism for those switches is gummed up,, probably the old lubricant has gone hard with age. I'd expect that a clean out with switch cleaner, not in the switches themselves but on the moving parts will sort this out.

I've found that replacing these big old caps in the original retainers by fitting more modern caps to be awkward, its surprising just how far materials science has moved on, and how much smaller the newer ones are. One option is to use some 2mm rubber sheet to fill out the gap you just wrap it around to the desired width.
