  • Re: Beocenter Overature Doors

Phil: Thanks for your reply. I do have the service manual from this site. Where does it explain the procedure for this adjustment? I know which screws you are talking about. The ones on the top rail are easier to get at. How do I adjust the bottom ones? Do I need to remove the string? Also do I need to make adjustments to all for brackets that hold

  • Beocenter Overature Doors

I just got replacement glass doors for the Beocenter Overature that I'm restoring. I notice that when the doors are in closed position there is a slightly larger than normal gap that makes the unit look a bit unnatural. It gap is about 1/8th of an inch wide. I checked the manual online here but could not find any references to adjustments to get

  • Re: Beosound 4000 Philips CDM 12 not working

Well... it was an adventure but I have the Beosound 4000 working finally. I found a used servo board and swapped it over and it works fine now. I ended up not upgrading to the CDPRO2 transport. I spoke to some technicians in the jukebox business. They told me that the CDM-12 is a more reliable and ultimately more repairable mechanism simply based their

Martin: Thanks for your prompt reply. Those parts are proving difficult to find here in the US. Derek

  • Beogram 8002 Transistors

Hi: The service manual shows transistors PU01 and PU51 used to drive the sled motor. These appear discontinued. Does anyone know equivalents that can be used? Thanks, Derek

Dave, Beodim: Thank you for your response. Now I can sleep better :) BTW, do you know if the Overture supports 2way remote? Mine comes with the Beo4 but thinking of getting the BL5000. Thanks, Derek

  • Re: Overture Tape Deck

Guy: Thanks for your response. So this is strange 3 units of the same model, 3 different behaviors? Can we have a larger sample from other members? Thanks, Derek

  • Re: Are S60 tweeters available or repairable?

These may be repairable and worth trying simply to keep as many of the drivers in circulation. Likely what has happened is that the voice coil has partially detached itself from the membrane. This happened to the midrange on my M150. The fix is to dismantle the driver then carefully re-adhere the coil back to the membrane. Use "super glue."

  • Re: Beogram 8002 Repair

yep .... did all that... resoldered cpu ribbon, power supply edge connector, cables to platter motor. It's amazing how many cold solder joints there are on these circuit boards. all voltages are present on the regulators.

  • Re: Beogram 8002 Repair

Hi Martin: All caps have been replaced including the one inside the CPU housing. In "parked" position all controls functions properly except left arrow on sensor arm is illuminated. Only when I hit play do things stop responding as they should. I should say prior to the recap, the MPU was displaying funny digits so the recap has definitely
