I second that, the newer the better. However the MKII is most likely cheaper than a MKIII. If you don't plan to use N.RADIO and N.MUSIC via BeoPort, and if security isn't important, then I see no reason not to buy the MKII. To my knowledge there isn't any difference in sound between the two models, but the MKIII should be more reliable.

Physical difference: Mk1: Line Phono plugs and Power input 4-pin DIN spring loaded contacts. Display: Yellow. Mk2: SpeakerLink and PowerLink. Display: Yellow. Mk3: SpeakerLink, Phono and PowerLink. Display: Green.

Hello Anna and welcome to BeoWorld Perhaps the laser lens needs cleaning. Have you tried that? Best regards Christian

But what is that circle all about? I don't get it...

PowerLink carries both left and right signal. So it does not matter whether you plug it in the left or the right front PowerLink socket. And yes, if you have another MCL/ML and another pair of speakers, and you use the rear PowerLink socket you will have surround sound.

Jandyt: My cheap nasty Phillips DECT phone system used to update the time and date every time I called a landline number. Does my expensive Beocom 6000? Does it heck! Andy T. I think it is bad programming by B&O, but still, it is the ONLY thing that annoys me about BeoCom 6000. It is the same with BeoTalk 1100, but what about Beocom 2500s?

Otherwise you can try to get hold of a HDR2 cabinet, I know these are available. It is not cheap though...
-
My LX6000 did it during the next day after the time changed. I think it needs to show the "sync" channel for some time, before it updates the clock. Maybe it is the same issue with your BV6? Christian

I have the same problem from time to time, but only with particular CDs, especially burnt CDs.

soundproof: Quite a lot of design students play around with conceptual prototypes, and put actual brand names on them. Are they allowed to put brand names on, without asking the company?
