no ive checked, i guess i could get a humax/sky digital box there is a couple listed on the list so i guess the codes may be the same on the newer box. thanks for all your help

hi nicky, its a FORTEC STAR FS-4200 the tv is the avant 32" 100 htz crt type number- 82/24 hope this helps.

hi craig, thanks for that. no there is nothing remotely connected to my digibox in the list. where would you get a chip from?

how to assign a digibox to the stb list. i have the IR emitter and the STB module built into my 32" avant. i cannot see my digibox listed. its a fortec star, is there a way of assigning the digibox so i can use my beo 4 remote?. at the mo the fortec star digibox is assigned as sky digital in the list but as guessed it doesnt register any functions

ok set up my fortec star digi box to the avant, plugged into the decoder scart port works as per norm. connected the IR to the avant and got the list up of stb's and mine is not on it. gutted, is there a way around it to get my specific branded digibox to work? i have given up trying to work the internal module but if anyone knows please ping me

no slot for a card, just the 2 antenna ports and the IR output plus a little white switch stating on/off and ATT. that is it, oh of course the old TV ariel port.

hi nick, thanks for your reply, ok i have 2 threaded ports for sat 1 and sat 2 and have an IR out put on the rear of the avant. sounds like im geared up for it but how the hell do actually make it work, if at all.... jason

milton keynes have always been great with me, jonney (now works elsewhere) was a fountain of info, historic and new, chris on the other hand is usually well equipped to help but the old goat always tries to talk you out of historic products and to splash on new. jonathon the owner is seldom seen when i walk in, his dog just greets me! i remember jonney
