  • Re: Cordless Headphones

My wife has a pair of Sennheiser HDR140s. She likes them a lot though she tends to use them sitting in one place rather than moving a lot.

I would get a CRT - far better picture and similar sound and, with the money you save, you can buy your wife a present for being so understanding. An MX makes a good bedroom set, can link well and takes up much the same space. I use an LX as the sound is better, but it is a bit bigger.

  • Re: CRT television; 100Hz or 50Hz?

As with all things, nothing is simple! The BV3-28 , as said above, is based on he MX/BV1 chassis. The sound is not so good and the 28" model was actually used as a draw model to attract people into stores. I remember Caitin Moran doing an article on it - she was excited about a cheap beovision, but by the time it was specced to a reasonable level

  • Re: Beomaster 8000 and Beomaster 6500

I am sure that both the 9000 and BM 8000 can be repaired. The problem you will have is finding someone to do it. I would suggest that Martin (Dillen on site) can fix both but the problem will be transporting these items to Denmark. The usual issue with the BM8000 is red capacitors and varaible resistors. However clearly it is not just a matter of replacing

  • Re: Beocord 8002 mystery hole?

That is the other side. There is a blank round space to the left of the DIN but I have no idea what it is for. I thought it might be something for one of the other decks (9000 etc) but nothing comes up. I wondered if it might have been a microphone socket but then they decided to put that on the front. So no idea is my answer!

  • Re: Beovox 2500 good price

I have seen pairs go for a lot more! And, as you say, considerably less! They are a strange speaker really as with modern dome technology, they should have little purpose. However they do widen the stereo image much more than one would expect. If you play them by themselves, you would be astounded by how little sound they produce, and how you cannot

  • Re: Beovision 10 - 46 Dont bye it :-(

The BV10 has a Samsung panel - as do all the LCD/LED sets. The BV4 has a Pansonic plasma screen, as have all the plasma sets. The actual screens are regularly updated during the model's life.

You also have the front panel! It is marked PLAY - STOP. Press the front panel in just below the cue button and the arm will lift and go back to the start position. The manual is on site if you want it.How are you starting you playing?

  • Re: Fair Market price?

Tricky! From a UK perspective, these are still good speakers. They work with everything though the displays are not going to work with BV10s. Condition is everything and if in good condition and no problems with the drivers, £1000+ is possible. Beolab 3000s are interesting! These are very sought after as they are elegant and not as dominating

  • Re: Bang & Olufsen presents interim report

UK sales still dropping. Hopefully the BS8 can reverse this a bit and the Encore. Seen the Beo6 which is just a rejigged Beo5 at present but should be far more soon.
