Hello everyone! I just received a Beolink 5000 from a fellow Beoworlder in good condition. I performed the initial setup and upon use with my BC9500 I am getting the "no contact" when I push the status button. I know it is in two-way mode as I set it up that way. I know my BC9500 is sending signals back because my Beolink 7000 updates the

  • Re: New Mac Mini

I think the HDMI connection just makes it simpler to connect the mini to the vast majority of TVs instead of the separate audio/video....that's about it.

  • Re: Beolab 5s playing Vinyl?

Having recently gotten in to vinyl, with a new Clearaudio Concept TT, I was surprised about the sheer amount of $$$ you can spend on equipment. If people think that B&O is expensive, check out the audiophile TT equipment. $150,000 turntables, tonearms and needles that cost over $10,000....crazy!!

  • Re: Beolab 3 High Pitch Sound

Here's the real deal on powerlink cables, from Steve at soundsheavenly.com: "To summarise the different cable versions:- Powerlink mk.1 is only suitable for the simpler Beolab speakers (ie. those without displays or digital amps. They are very thin and I personally won't sell them as I'm not too happy with the sound quality on longer

  • Re: Superb Beolab 5000 - complete with turntable, speakers, stereo calibration

That is a very good deal...approx 60% of what it would cost to order new. It also has the extremely rare stereo spread box! This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for someone who wants a system like this!

  • Any guesses on what these Beovox 2500s will go for?

Check out this auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/Bang-Olufsen-Beovox-Speakers-/220623430221?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Speakers_Subwoofers&hash=item335e2e624d for the condition and the fact that the auction has only been up for a day (as of today-Thursday), I can't belive the price!

  • Re: B&O and home cinema

They only have the Beovox 1 now...which is an in-wall speaker for ambient music throughout the house not anything meant for home cinema. I think what the person above was meaning is that their lineup now is that if you are wanting to use passive speakers for your home cinema then there isn't much of a point in spending huge amounts of money on a

  • Re: B&O prices through the years

Interesting comparison! Makes me feel a little better about getting a restored BL5000 from Frede (still waiting excitedly)! Amazing that many could afford this back then as it seems like fewere had the discretionary income to buy such goods.

I agree with beojeff, don't get a BL6000 for a center. That will sound strange and off balance.
