That is certainly a point, but I don't think one should compare directly with the bottom dwellers to make the point that you can get something worse for more money, thereby implying that the supposed top product is the bee's knees - even if the price is about the same. Hell, I can propably get diamond crusted iPod Touch. Although, I do still
that better ?
Well, not really, as it still doesn't change the sentiment in the post - not the actual wording - and it's the sentiment I disagree with.
True for iPhone/iPod That's why the iPad (or any other device with a descent screen) is perfect... almost the same screen size as the BS5; so a little adaptation and the UI could be running on the iPad/tables...
No, it just makes the touch screen bigger, but doesn't actually alleviate the other
Beo5/6 are nice devices... but don't have have the "Whow" UI interaction...
I don't really like not having at least some hardware buttons, nor do I think the iOS has any "Whow" UI interaction the moment it is in use. I much prefer useability and functionality to eye candy

I have to agree with Trip on this issue. The Bryston box seems like it is aimed squarily at the audiophile* segment, the separates-segment, that will buy anything as long as the marketing speech is there with promises of "musicality", that are empty words - I mean, there is no such thing as a "musical" audio card. I'd prefer
Does flac work in itunes?I need apple lossless for that reason. I dont want to run 2 libraries. Also what is mentioned here with compilations and covers is scaring me to some extent.
Sort of. Here's a short and a longer tutorial if you're using Macs: http://www.simplehelp.net/2008/06/12/how-to-play-flac

That's not foolish. I still sometimes think "analogue", as I learned to edit on reel-to-reel recorders and used analogue recorders out in the field. Analogue is much more intuitive, digital not so much. Hell, I still say "I'm taping this interview" when doing phone interviews, even if "record" would be more accurate
well you managed to confuse me ! but then that is easily done elephants struggle to keep up with tree frogs !
It's just that if either one of them has a 24bit volume control, that one will keep much more of the available bits in the original song. If either one is 16 bit, you would pretty fast be reduced
