Keith, I think you are about the only person (including B&O itself!) who was ever able to make a meaningful and correct distinction between the Euro Mk1s, Mk2s, Beolines, etc., and the US Beocom 1 and its associated US Beoline which was never the Euro Beoline. The manual and materials for BeoCom 5 make no reference to the US BeoCom 1 and US BeoLine
Is BeoLine 2 the newer, 'rounder' PSTN base (http://www.beoworld.org/prod_details.asp?pid=1235) or a totally new product? If so, is Beoline 2 compatible with BeoCom 6000 Mk II (with earset connectivity)? Would be interesting as I plan to upgrade my older, rectangular PSTN base...
For a US customer

Yes, I saw it on Gizmodo a few minutes ago... and then there it was, on the B&O website. Has it been there for a long time?
There is at least one issue that needs addressing later, and I was expecting it to be done by dealers. More of that later
It is now later: pray tell. Thanks for the review and thanks in advance for your response.

Wow, Phil, quite an undertaking! Is there a possibility you could get B&O to release the APIs to you like they apparently did to Anders Ödlund? Best of luck, and looking forward to your product,

I concur. Furthermore, I add that it is unethical for a company to state or imply one thing in one forum (their official website) and another in correspondence to its clients. But what is really sad is that B&O seems to be unaware a significant portion of its customers use Apple products and this trend will only grow. B&O's blindness in
The N.RADIO station list on Beoplayer is the sole domain of B&O.
When used with a Macintosh, which uses different software than PCs... (1) There is no N.RADIO database: you must manually add any radios you wish to listen to. As a starting point, one can use the few hundred radio stations that come included
I find BM-Link even more unstable now
May I suggest staying with an iTunes version prior to 8.2 (this also means staying with OS X 10.5) and contacting B&O in Denmark via the B&O "contact us" webpage. I received the following reply with regards to BM-Link failing with newer versions of iTunes

Masterlink sends analog sound only. Therefore digi/ana conversion is done at the source.
I read elsewhere in the forum that the BV7/BS3 has a very sophisticated DAC in it. Doesn't that serve the same purpose for sound sent through it to the link rooms?
Hit blue button on Beo4, hit ">>" (="next"). Used to take you to the next playlist on iTunes versions prior to 8.2. After 8.2, the same action takes you from "Music" to "iTunes DJ" only.
With the older versions, how were the playlists accessed from link rooms?
