• Re: Apple Lossless (ALAC) on BM5 soon

I asked Customer Support this question ealy this month. The reaction I got was: We have to inform you that BeoMaster 5 is not specified to work with Apple Lossless formats, and therefore cannot play such files. However, this is something which is being looked at, but no definite plans have been agreed upon yet. We have passed your wish on to the responsible

Kritiek

  • Re: The MADE IN DENMARK product thread :-)
I'm really intrigued by the "must be assembled in Denmark or I won't buy it" viewpoint. If I was to be concerned, I would worry more about the source and quality of the components and materials used in the assembly rather than the location of final assembly itself. I can understand the "Danish

  • Re: Mac to B&O system, how?

A nice buy for this Christmas I see :-), in respect to using Apple in conjunction with Mac have a look at the dedicated forum on this site. You can find a lot info about Mac Mini versus Apple TV as well. For just streaming, Apple TV is fine. If you want to do more than that, get the mini. Please be aware that as the mini is computer oriented, you have
Surely this is all a bit artificial anyway! The BV10 is clearly mainly made by Samsung, the amplifiers are not ICE items - I would guess the aluminium surround is made in Denmark but that would be about it. Does this put me off the set - not at all! The car audio is almost all outsourced except for the snazzy aluminium
I wonder what Struer is thinking about this thread. Seems there are strong reservations against high-price products from a low-wage country. At least it´s still made in Europe...
Indeed. I am prepared to pay a part of the premium price due to the location they are producing (Danmark or at least Western

  • Re: B&O will always be the only one to have ALT speakers: read this
I think if it's done judiciously it can work. It can really bolster our company image in that most of the people who are only vaguely familiar often think of us as a design-only company. Having a strong technology portfolio licensed among other top tier manufacturers wouldn't be such a bad thing. [/quote

  • Re: B&O high tech solution

Most equipment like this has already been mandated by EU regulations to have <1W power consuption on standby, starting this year I think? That's a bit more sensible, but now that I think about it, may be just the reason why these stupid on/off switches will be there...

  • Re: New Samsung TV

What I like is the new remote they are showing. Not the design, but the functionality described looked really nice.
