    A region coding issue would not cause a crash, the DVD player would simply refuse to play it. I've played a DVD-R disc in a later DVD1 before, have you had any problems with any other discs at all?

    Go careful in the service menu of the BeoSystem 3! You can easily mess things up a lot in there, which only a B&O service centre could fix...

    it's not a normal audio connection like the other DIN sockets on the BM7000. It's so you can use a graphic EQ with the BM, kinda like a 'preamp' loop out.

    Well of course the true HD signal looks better, you'd expect it to, but the difference isn't as vast as you would expect. The BeoVision 9 in the window of the Bath store fools me into thinking I'm looking at an HD signal, although whether this will translate as well on an LCD panel I don't know...

    Streets ahead. The later BeoVision 5s produce a stunning picture, not that far off some of the CRTs (although I still don't think they were up to the Avant) but the BeoVision 9 really is something else!

    paddy2042: You know, I am much happier now that all these issues have been fixed, however I noticed last night that the BC2 froze and I had to switch it all off at the wall to reset. I don't want to jinx the new equipment but I am worried already. I know everyone says that I have been unlucky, but do other people hve problems having to restart equipment

    petz: Does this mean that whenever TV signals will be digital all over, image quality advantage BnO once had will disappear? With analog signals BnO TVs were just outstanding. But when I look at regular flat screens with digital feed, especially HD, it seems that the difference in image quality is small. As I am building a house and will start with
