  • Re: Beomaster 5500 - No sound whatsoever to my speakers

Welcome to Beoworld Yes - the DIn plugs linked in your post are exactly what you need for your Beomaster 5500. Let us know when you get them wired (positive side of the speaker wire to the small round pole & negative to the flat spade) if you still have no sound. Chris.

  • Re: speaker choice

Alex is absolutely right as far as value for money goes with Beolab 5's - you get a great deal for your money. However you need to tailor your sound to both your budget and your environment. Beolab 5's are remarkably good but would be of no use to me in the house in which I live - a definate case of overkill I'm afraid! Beolab 9's are

  • Re: here's the pic!?

donfranquito: On a seperate topic, I found a pair of B&O CX 30 mini speakers, quite heavy, sound very nice for their size. Any info on these? Yep look here I'd be very surprised if the bass drivers don't have foam rot though. I've seen a fair few of these where the original B&O drivers have been replaced with non B&O ones so

joeyboygolf: Hate to disagree Chris but I have S80's with foam rot!! You're probably right then Graham - senility is catching up with me apace. I know some 'S' series had rubber surrounds and thought the 80's were amongst them. Peter & Martin will know better. Chris.

  • Re: New to beoworld

By S45's Burantek meant Beovox S45's which are B&O speakers and they are very good indeed. All of the Beovox 'S' series of speakers are excellent - especially from the 45's upwards although most models were fitted with foam surrounds to the bass drivers which will have foam rot by now unless they have recently been replaced.

  • Re: B and O Bicycle?

That has to be the crappiest bike I've ever seen. A scrap dealer would charge you for taking it away. Chris.

j0hnbarker: Thanks again for the loan of the MMC 20S Chris! Sent you a PM on Sat night to say thanks - hope you got it? Hi John, no prob's mate. How does it sound BTW - pretty ropey I would imagine looking at the state of the stylus. Chris.

Hi John, glad the MMC20S at least confirmed the problem for you. Sounds like a decent deal on the CL from andyt IMO. If you do go down the Soundsmith route, now is the time with strength of the pound. I should add that there will be import duties to pay on a Soundsmith item which will probably add at least another £30 (possibly more) to the final

  • Re: Beogram 2000

Which model of BG2000 do you have? There were 2 released. There was the 1970's version and the 1980's version. Member Dillen (Martin) will definately have ones for the later version and possibly for the earlier one too. Welcome to Beoworld Chris.
