Yes, but on a mac you use iTunes directly, which is a much better solution. If you want to use Beolink PC2, then download BM-Link. http://www.odlund.se/bmlink/ It adds only an icon in your preference panel and it control itunes. Really good stuff. p.

Stars: It looks like B&O are getting ready to launch the BeoSound 5 on the website with the new addition of a Digital Media tab at the top left of the page. It has been there for a while... Look at the 30 apr 2007 page... http://web.archive.org/web/20070430052154/http://www.bang-olufsen.com/page.asp?bhcp=1

Connect the "RF Out" of your set top box to the RF in of your TV. At least you'll get the last STB channel when you press TV. I really wish that B&O offers software update to use the DVB-T on TV, and free DTV for an external STB.

JOV: Anyway: for me the whole BS5-concept is ridiculous! As I understand it right, we speak about a music-only system. Right? No video? No 2-way-remote? No home-automation? Just simple digital music? Yes, and the Beosound 9000 is just a 6 CD charger with a radio... Regarding Home Automation, B&O has officially announced that they will do a big push

B&O uses Beovocal to do this exact same kind of survey.

wonderfulelectric: In my opinion. B&O is getting kinda evil. Compatibility with outside systems is getting harder then ever, now with the din only connections to their loudspeakers and everything. Let's hope that the Beosound 5 supports uncompressed ripping and HD audio. Beosound 5 does support uncompressed ripping. Beosound 5 also uses AAC

Alex: This is spam , I got this on other forums too. Has nothing to do with BnO.. But spam is usually to sell something to you. What is he selling?

bayerische: Is "lossless" truly "lossless" if it erases 44% of the information? Let's repeat it another time. Lossless is lossless as it name says. A lossless format is a file format that can compress the size of a file without losing ANY information. When the file is expanded (when being played), the resulting file is stricly

WMA Lossless is around 50% less than the original size. Here is a sentence that will soon appear in the Beosound5 web site: "BeoSound 5 is a two-component solution, consisting of the master unit BeoSound 5 and the socket unit BeoMaster 5. The socket unit includes all circuitry, memory and Internet connections in a storage space capacity of 500

I also think those 5 years are including the development of a future-proof digital ML replacement...
