  • Re: Is there an Avant near Malvern?

I agree with Graham. The Avant is superb, and sound to match as well. You won't be disappointed.

  • Re: volume control beosound 3200v

It sounds like it's in the wrong option mode, but how you'd fix this without a remote, I don't know!

  • Re: Easy creation of MP3 cd's from BeoPlayer

You could do it with iTunes. On a PC, iTunes will convert WMAs to whatever format you want, albeit AAC, MP3, Apple Lossless, WAV or AIFF. I'd personally choose high-bitrate MP3 so you get the least sound lost. You simply drag & drop the files into iTunes, and it will convert them for you. Beware this will take up a lot of file space. Then drag the songs

  • Re: Fault: BeoSound 4 shutting down.

What do you mean issues? There aren't really any 'issues' with the BeoSound 4. No product will ever have 100% reliability rate, there will always be a few units produced with issues. As far as I'm aware, the BeoSound 4 doesn't have a 'high' failure rate. I always tend to think o them as being quite robust and reliable actually...

  • Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?

Fleetwood Mac's Rumours on vinyl - fantastic condition original pressing. Not at all rare but the original pressings are better than any of the re-releases. Sounds stunning.

moxxey: Flappo The Grate: so who owns bugatti and lamborghini ? Yeah, but Fiat own Ferarri :) Seriously, Apple won't go buying a company such as B&O when it is in an area completely outside it's remit. It won't happen. B&O barely register in the US, for example. Fiat = F ix I t A gain T ony I can't see that Apple would ever buy an

  • Re: Advice Beocenter 9000 , 9500 9300 8000

The 8500 is still more idiot proof when it comes to marking the surface. The 9500 is beautiful if it's kept in pristine condition, but any scratches show up badly. The 8500 doesn't show up scratches anywhere near as badly, and it's more difficult to scratch! I prefer the appearance of the 9500 though. You could always fit 9500/9300 panels to an 8500

  • Re: Technical advice needed - BL2500 as PC speakers..

Looks like USB 1.1 and 2.0 both carry the same amount of voltage. However, more accurate sites I've looked at seem to show the USB voltage as being between 4.75 and 5.25v. Can one of our more technical members verify how picky BeoLabs are when it comes to the voltage?

  • Re: Technical advice needed - BL2500 as PC speakers..

You could always run it from the USBs which have +5v DC. I'm not sure whether this is true of both USB 2 and 1.1 or just 2. Which iMac do you have? If it was new from September 2003 onwards, then it'll have USB 2.
