It was the pin being entered incorrectly by the previous user. Thanks everyone, it works now, except i think it needs to see a service technician as the radio frequencies are wrong and it doesn't pick up radio! I've been listing to CD's on it and wow the sound is great, only a little bit too much mid range and the woofer distorts at 58 onwards
