Well, in that case it seems that both units have their pin code protection activated. The use of a PIN code means that if your BeoSound 1 is disconnected from the mains for more than 30 minutes, the system can only be activated again by keying in your own personal PIN code. If the PIN code is not entered, the BeoSound 1 automatically switches to standby

Well done Andy, I don't know anything much about these speakers, but someone on Beoworld certainly does otherwise the details would not appear on the Beoworld web site. It is interesting to note that in my old list of Beovox speaker information the numbers jump from Beovox 2600 to 3000 !!

I am aware that there was two versions of the Beocom 2000 one with headphone socket and one without. Check the 4 digit Type number for each phone, as I think you will find that one will have only ever been sold in Denmark, Sweden or Holland.

Not a stupid question at all.. The actual output is basically the same except you can mute the headphone output independently of the powerlink output. If you go to the centre of the volume up/down on the Beoport virtual remote you have "Mute" click to the right or left of "Mute" and you get " Mute HP " with HP meaning headphones
