Regardless of where the MOTS software resides, they can choose to only allow its use if the BS5 is connected if they wish (an "incentive" if you like).

It's certainly the best looker of the Loewe range, I don't care for any of the others (the "blob" on the bottom edge is also an annoying distraction and spoils the clean lines). Great advert though, I'm sure it will raise brand awareness and interest in the product, although I don't fancy their chances of taking on B&O

Also, according to a post elsewhere, the gold stuff which is produced to order has a premium attached for that very reason.

You can help yourself if you tell us where abouts in the world you are based and what leads you to believe that this assembly is defective (it's not unknown for dealers/repairers to claim defective lasers etc on older devices when in fact they can be repaired). I've just shown it to one of our ID guys - he was struck dumb (for a while). The coloured buttons clash apparently!

Don't think anyone makes them anymore, certainly B&O don't (they are ~25 years old). Your best bet would likely be ebay, although they don't come up as frequently as the floorstands. These were available until very recently (at least you can see what they look like)

Same here really, other than yes you can repackage Panasonic's big screen, it's not likely to be a mainstream product for which I may want to bring my particular insights to bear
