Sorry about the above post, but the comment was just too much of a brick toss to be let go. Waiting to pounce on some marketing guy's linguistic flourish is really cheap. To answer the OP, the new panels are expected here in the US in the next few weeks. Having spent some time with one I have to say that the ACM system is the most valuable asset

I have to agree that certain things look fabulous on the BV7 screen, while others really don't look great on anything! This will, as has been said, change with time. I think that Apple TV is a great example of the new media we'll all be fighting with in the coming years. The Blu Ray / HD DVD format war will look easy compared to the amertuer

I've been a pretty aggressive supporter of Bang & Olufsen's video portfolio as of late, but I have to say that there are some more sensible points of view on this thread than the brick throwing of threads past. That being said, I'd still buy one, but I'd also understand someone who wouldn't. In one sense the "spec junky"

"As is known to most B&O users, you just add SPEAKERS to your LIST. Then just select LIST>SPEAKERS, GO, NUMBER 1,2 or 3 -- for the various setups. (The dealer should try it! )" I agree, Soundproof. I think we should take a break from critiquing the products and critique the dealers! Some of the stories I've heard on here make me

Wow Russ, jk1002 and Soundproof do have a point. It seems like all of these luxury goods manufacturers keep forgetting to build their products for people who can't afford them! It's very inconsiderate when you think about it. I don't think it's solipsistic at all to think that a brand who builds for the 1-3% of the population who has

355f, It's actually not a pointless gimmick, but one of the more useful additions I've seen to any television. I would suggest doing a bit more homework or at least seeming a bit less willing to sound foolish. One of the main problems with plasma screens is the disproportionate rate at which the phosphor lamps age. While the three colors age

Magnus, There are two things at issue as I see it. Here in the united states we have an adaptor for using the BeoLab 2 & BeoLab 7s without a BeoSystem product. Basically it is a PowerLink to 1 or 2 RCA that would plug into either a traditional LFE output or a stereo subwoofer output. It also has a lead that runs either to a low voltage trigger in

Although I truly prefer the flat frame of the current BeoVision 4, the new model is not just a stylistic upgrade. It will have a camera built in which will calibrate color as the panel ages. It is the same plasma panel, but with the color management, the BeoSystem 3 will adjust its output against the panels changing color properties to retain ideal

Hey guys! There are some products that seem to grab you right away (the BeoVision 7 for me), and some that you warm up to over time. The BeoVision 8, for me, has taken some getting used to, but I'm speaking purely about looks. Technologically it looks fantastic. I happen to have a local dealer who is only a few paces from a Sony store so I can do

I can't really speak to other universal remotes specifically, but I would recommend putting off any high dollar purchases until the Beo 5 is fully mature. The Beo 5, like the iPhone, is essentially a vehicle for software, which will undoubtedly change and mature with time. Beyond that nebulous statement, though, we do know a few things: 3rd party
