  • Re: The 'Party' smiley must die!

I'm satisfied with where I live, and why shouldn't I be? I chose to move here as it's a great location near England's second most important financial centre. Having moved from somewhere I was unhappy, I'm sorry if my civic pride and general sense of wellbeing has jarred with some contributers here. Also, and as you're a Man U

Crikey Dave! As I sit looking out of my office window as the sun glistens off the office buildings in central Leeds, it's kind of hard to reconcile your earnest assessment of the Yorkshire weather, psyche and downtrodden landscape. Tell me, do you miss the place much? I guess at least it's drier in Gloucestershire........oh, hang on, it's

9 LEE: It's my favourite smiley too !! However, if enough people say "kill the party smiley" i will consider exterminating it... But, i think j0hnbarker may have a 'one man lynch mob' a-huntin old party-boy... I do have some more smileys lined up to annoy you all, and some will go. Got to keep it interesting! • Re: Your avatar

Mine is a picture of my original 1986 Pudsey Bear soft toy brandishing a Beolink 1000. Long story, but my home town of Pudsey (in Leeds, West Yorkshire) was also the home town of the artist who designed Pudsey Bear for the BBC. Now us Pudsarians are a proud lot, and when she was asked if she wanted to name the yellow bear she'd been commissioned

  • The 'Party' smiley must die!

Anyone else want to see the 'Party' smiley killed off asap? Perhaps it's a Monday morning thing, but it's been doing my bloody head in seeing that irritating animation in the subject line of a couple of messages. Yes, I know I've posted the swearing smiley in the subject line for this post and that might be equally as irksome to

  • Re: Beogram 4002/Beosystem 4500 compatibility

If you're not after a perfect match between your Beomaster and Beogram cosmetically, then go for a 4002, as they're excellent decks that are so well built that you wouldn't believe. I moved house recently, and forgot exactly how well made (and heavy!) mine is! The platter alone must weigh a couple of kilos, and add to that the fact that

  • Re: Is there a way to play a 12" disc at 45 rpm?

I haven't done this for a while on my 4002, but can't you hit the 45 selctor key on your 4004 when the tracking arm is in the air? I'm sure I've done this before, and therefore it has to be straightforward!

  • Re: Beocenter7007 Tape Belt length

They're prone to this Jerry - my Beocord 5000 belts had melted to such an extent that they were glued on to the wheels, and I had to use some solvent to clean the sticky mess off before replacing them. Not sure what length the belts are on a Beocenter 7007, but I'm sure Martin Olsen (his user name is Dillen on this forum) will have some spares

Good luck Andy! Maybe you now need a Beomaster 6000/8000 to power these wonderful speakers when you have finished the refurb?
