  • Re: Beolab 2 vs anything else

GuyHui : Hi, So we don't need a BL2 unless we have a pair of BL9's, right ? Is the size of the BL2's woofer bigger than the one from the BL9's ? Cheers, Guy No, the opposite. A BeoLab 2 really adds to the sound with all the B&O speakers except the BeoLab 9s and 5s, where I personally feel it would subtract from the sound overall. BeoLab

  • Re: The worlds 15 se*iest speakers... ;)

GuyHui : I would say the B&W Nautilus first, then in second the BL5's. Guy Have you seen the Nautilus in the flesh? They're not as beautiful as you'd expect. There's something a little 'dumpy' about the appearance. Their plinths also remind me of old weathered statues. Wonderful sound though, but the BeoLab 5s are much better sonically. Having

  • Re: What are you guys think about this setup i´m planing to buy?

Go for it. You won't be disappointed. The problem with 8000s as rears is that while they may appear very tall, the actual drivers are only about half way up the speaker. BeoLab 3s will sound better as rears, partly because of their ALTs (better imaging along with other ALT speakers) and they can be placed higher up.

  • Re: Bang and Olufsen B&O BeoVox Cona Passive Subwoofer

You could do it, but the cost incurred would be higher than getting an Avant with a Dolby Digital board, and the results no way near as good. The Cona would require a separate amplifier, and depending in your main speakers, may not give much of an improvement...

  • Re: Connecting Beolab 6000's to a Panasonic TH42PX70

symmes: 1, If you have phono outputs on the tv, you can hook rca cables straight into the 6000s (separate line jack on us model) and control them with the tv or cable box. You might need to switch them off with a switched outlet. All BL6000s have RCA connections I believe...

  • Re: Beolab 2 vs anything else

You'd two PowerLink to stereo phono cables assuming the subwoofer you'd choose will have phono connections, which it might possibly not. As for subwoofers with a high pass filter output at line level, I'm not really sure what to suggest. I can't think of any I've come across. Subs tend to have it only on the amplified signal level. Have you listened

  • Re: Torben in Sunday Times

As much as I'd love a 70s car, I'm looking at a Peugeot 306 for my first car! My dad's had two (a GTI and a Rallye) and my mum's had two as well (a standard 306 plus a yellow cabriolet, eww), and they've all been very good cars (except for the yellow cabriolet, what a disgusting car ). The 306 is cheap, performs very well (amazing brakes), has fantastic

Peter: A Mk3 Cortina!! Truly awful car! My father had an M reg 2000GXL auto. It oversteered at 20MPH! It also rusted like sin and the inside trim was all plastic wood. And have you driven a TR6? Rotten driving position and no wider than my GT6. I am waiting for B&O to bring out a system for my Prius! Prius?!!? Are you running for local MP or something

  • Re: New center Speaker Beolab 10

mbee: I don't see why this would be impossible : place the ALT in the middle of the BL7.1/2, and the mediums just right and left of the ALT tweeter (not at the extremities of course) and I think you get a good mono-ALT BL7.1! Concerning your previous post Alex, I'm not sure that bl7.4 is perfect, maybe B&O should have made a better bl10

Either way, the best car money can buy would be a Volkswagen camper van Okay, well maybe it's not a car, but it's still the best thing to be seen in on the road. Either that or a TR6 or Cortina mk3
