  • Re: Beocord 9000: no motor

I agree, sounds about normal. Martin

  • Re: Beocenter 7700 7007 7000 wood trim interchangable?

White BC7700's are not very common so I would never convert a white into wood. Find a nice wood one instead. The wooden strips will normally lift off nicely by using a hairdrier and a hobby knife, work your way slowly from one end to the other and the wooden strip will come off in one piece. It will even mount again using the same glue. That's

  • Re: Beomaster 1000 - missing FM stereo decoder?

A stereo decoder was optional and far from all Beomaster 1000's got one. The optional boards are quite sought after so be prepared to pay a little for one. The RIAA board in your Beomaster is also an option. Slightly rarer than the stereo decoder, actually. Martin

  • Re: Beocord 9000: no motor

Check the voltage across 6C2, that's one of the caps on the rectifier board. A negative 24V is to be expected here. If that is OK, check the voltage on emitter of 4TR17, it should be the same -24V If that is also OK, check the voltage on the collector of that same transistor 4TR17 and let us know. Martin

  • Re: Beocord 9000: no motor

Yours must be the early version then. (Before serial number 2832001). With the discrete Dolby circuit (no HA... chips) and no motor fuse. D16 however, is present in both versions. Do you have any voltage on the motor leads (P1-11) ? Same question out of the regulator 5TR2 (P4-2) ? Martin

  • Re: Beocord 5500 belt

The Beocord 5000/5500/6500/7000 drawer belt is available from me as a very nice repro part, custom produced to size, friction and elasticity. Martin

  • Re: Beocord 3500 (1988) playback problem

The set contains all tapedeck belts for your version of the Beocord 3500. That's three in total; - Capstan belt - Motor to idler - Left reel to motion sensor The cost of the complete set with packing/postage is apprx that of one belt alone (when they were still available from B&O, that is). Custom produced belts does not come cheaper and I make

  • Re: Just got a BeoMaster 1900-2 - New to Bang & Olufsen

Another common issue is cracked solder joints to the large output stage transistors. This can easily cause the Beomaster to go into standby immediately after switching off but as stated above, there can be many other reasons. Martin

  • Re: Refurb Beolab 5000

Depends on the position of each capacitor. Power supply/preamp/amp/signal path/decoupling/crossover etc. The service manual will give you the part numbers. Eventual tech info notes and/or aftermarket updates may provide additional info. A good start is to see what's mounted from the factory. The service manual is available for download from our
