I agree with Graham, Peter and Chris though most faults to these are actually easily fixed. The CD clamp may be an exception but the CD servo board can usually be repaired fairly easy and cheap. I normally try to steer clear of advicing regarding value but the price you mention do sound a little higher than what most of these seem to go for. Having

  • Re: B&O electric razor?

The electric shaver for sale is a SH8U. A couple of different models were produced and they are all collectors items. The Tekno bus I believe is home-painted. Martin

  • Re: vintage speaker selection

The Beovox 500 are the smallest "full range" speakers produced by B&O. They are fairly good in their own right but shouldn't in any way be considered Hifi as they do not live up to the DIN 45.500 Hifi norm. For collectors of vintage B&O, owning a pair of Beovox 500 and/or 600 is a must but for daily use a pair of Beovox 1100 (or

What is a CD restorer ? Snake oil ? The flying resistor should connect to the twin-pad that also connects to the nearby light brown'ish SMD component (and a black SMD too). I suggest you replace the capacitors on that board. Note that at least one of the caps need to be of a specific brand and type to work correctly. A kit exists. Not a free repair

Beovox 2200 is a nice little speaker. Beovox 1100 springs to mind too as one of my own favourites. The 1100 actually has a dome tweeter. Martin

Welcome to Beoworld ! First thing would be to replace the capacitors in the power supply module, especially the ones on the small center board. It's very common to see these fail by now and any ripple and/or instability here will keep the tuner silent. A capacitor kit exists for this model. Martin

  • Re: Beomaster 1000 - missing FM stereo decoder?

The type 2312 was an odd one, half a step from the early type towards the later. The two phono inputs are of different levels. One is at line level (with no RIAA) while the other is at "true" phono level with built-in RIAA. I haven't seen the actual module but my guess is that the option installed is a second RIAA for the line-level input
