The main problem is the Beosound9000 in the link room. If you have a Beosound in a link room, along with a TV, it must have speakers and set to option 5 (equivalent to option 1 for a link room). You cannot transfer the sound of the link room Beosound to the link room TV or the other way round.

If you use SPEAKER 1, 2 or 4, you are in normal stereo. I'd try both configuration if I were you. The same Beolink converter is used anyway. Then you can make up your mind. p.

avus17: Well that's good news, so MP3 names can then be displayed on BS9000, so no need for expensive BS5. Yes,it is a good solution, and if you have an iPod touch/iPhone, you can use it as a 2 way remote control... Another solution if you have a B&O TV with STB-C it the Apple TV. That said I suggest we try and touch the BS5 before we poopoo it

Then connect all the speakers to the BC1, otherwise you won't get surround sound. You need a Beolink Converter 1611. Buy a second hand one from eBay, lifestyle, or another shop. On one side it has ML on the other side you need Datalink cable (fully cabled) and a fully cabled Powerlink cable as well. Plus the electricity. Beosound in Option 0, Beocenter
