  • Re: OT virus help!

Try booting Windows in Safe Mode, this usually renders the virus harmless temporarily, meaning you can remove it...

  • Re: "Beolab 2 is slow": what does it mean?

js: Well, I know, most of you recommend the PV1. Actually, BL2 is the easy choice: one just has fully compatible B&O items and only needs PowerLink connections. But, right, PV1 is better (and BL9s are even better). So, how do I connect a PV1 to my setup? - In order to relief the BL8000s from playing the lower bass, they need to be connected to the

  • Re: BV7 - Digital Audio input

The BeoVision 7 cannot handle a standard stereo input, but will only take Dolby Digital or similar via the digital connections. You say you've connected a 'standard stereo' connection to AV4, I assume you mean you also have sound going between the Mac and the BeoVision via plain stereo analogue?

  • Re: MacWorld is soon!

I expect they'll also update the iMacs, although this may not be announced, but just displayed on their website, as with the MacPro a few days ago...

Bingo: moxxey: Bingo: Now they think they found out the wheel again with a camera on the new Beovision4 . I saw a $7,500 dollar price mentioned for the 50 inch new Beovison 4 without speaker but if this includes the Beosystem 3 which was always part of the Beovision 4, there must be a dramaticly price-reduction on its'w way. http://www.i4u.com/article13929

  • Re: BS3+HDMI - help needed

355f: Alex: The issue is with the Plasma screen, not the BeoSystem 3. A technology called HDCP (HD content protection) is starting to be used by manufacturers and film studios. It essentially requires that all components in your system can talk to each other to assure that everything is an 'approved' component and not anything which would allow

  • Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?

Space Cowboy - Jamiroquai. IMO, one of the best records ever. Just brilliant...

  • Re: Beolab 1 versus Beolab 8000

I agree with Peter on this one. I usually tend to prefer a slightly bass light sound, and while this is what the column speakers all provide by nature, they also lack extension (being able to play deep bass) which just tends to make them sound a little lacking. I also find the upper bass a little boomy and vague on say, the 8000s. BeoLab 3s are to my

  • Re: value for money

In terms of what you get for your money, I personally find the BeoLab 5s to be the best in the B&O speaker range. Yes, it's a lot of money, heck of a lot, but you get much, much more than what you pay for sonically. BeoLab 9s second and 3s third.
