After a long period of wondering how to build a HDR into a Avant, I started measuring, sawing and more to achieve this. Because the Avant doesn't have a build-in VCR, there should be some space left for the HDR. So after several attempts to measure the free space left it was obvious that the HDR couldn't be placed with it's own housing.

Hi Michael, You're not the only one having problems with that. Once you've selected the digital inputs from the system 1 or any other system which has a dolby digital/Dts board, then you will notice that there will be no sound in any linkroom. Beobuddy

About the price of the second hand Avant. Ok, it is a lot of money for a CRT tellie. But don't forget: You'll get the centre of system also. It is not only the screen. I think some people do forget this when comparing it with a screen of 42/50/60" with HDMI etc. Those screens sounds louisy, the picture isn't the same and it doesn't

Do you have a seperate ir-eye? If so, does it repond to any instructions? If yes, then there might be a problem between the USB connection from the pc and the beoport. Did you try to disconnect all other USB equipment from the pc? If you select N.Music at the pc does it starts playing some music at the pc? Then there is a problem between the beoport

Did you use a line audio cable between the pc(line out or speaker out) and the pc2/beoport? Also look at the volume from the pc.
