Peter: Actually not so sure! I am gradually moving to digital - I do have some beolits but I also have a couple of digital radios - my latest is a Pure Oasis. I use it in the bathroom as it is waterproof and has a rechargeable battery. Rather bigger than I expected but good tone and excellent reception. I would have bought a BS3 but it cannot receive

I have a friend who got a DAB as a present and she thinks she gets a better reception from her old cheep radio she had before. I am not sure were we are going to be with digital my old stuff

Medogsfat: Threading a new tuning drive cord on a 1972 model beolit 700 Took me hours the first (and definately last) time. Chris. He he. I spent about 1/2 a day doing the same to a Beolit 609 that I bought non-working from a charity shop. The tuning wheel span freely, so I thought all it needed was a new cord. After many hours I had cracked it and

Not surprised about the rust though as yours is a Jensen bodied car. I've wanted an Interceptor since I was a kid, and nearly bought one on two separate occasions, but fear of my investment rotting

He's fixed a couple of things for me that I sent down to him. I understood this to be a hobby of his as he likes working on B&O equipment. A nice guy and one who knows everything there is to know about repairing this type of equipment, so I'd give contacting him a try if I were you.

As not every post on the General Forum is going to butter your sprouts, is there any point in rating down posts that are clearly not going to be of any interest to you? I don't own a Beo 5 for example, so it might be reasonable to think that I might find pictures of other people's Beo 5s boring, so I don't bother looking. If I did, still

Nice car for sure, it's just that for a 28 year old from a nothern town in England, the P1800 is a bit over the top. I'd love to own one in a few years, but perhaps when I live somewhere a bit more forgiving in terms of what car you drive. You're only a real man in my town if you drive a 'Scooby' and screw it around the local roads
