  • Re: Ice power rave review
Another review link covering several manufacturers.
Finally something that makes some good old engineering sense
Forget the power cable delusion/diversion! Are B&O getting enough credit for ICEpower? Are they using it in their own products to a sufficient level?
The upcoming 6002/8002 update

  • Re: Beolink Active PC port
I clearly need a proper workbench though...
Nah, just improve the Leatherman clamp with a rubberband around the handles like I do

  • Re: Learning to use the Beo4

Although I'm not going to discuss its merits as such (because I didn't read it ), remember that it's a scientific article, not a sales pitch or a Harlequin novel... Personally I've never been too impressed with the ergonomics of the Beo4 by itself. This article discusses the entire user interface including the controlled device though

  • Re: If you have a BV8 you'll need this coffee-machine...

Doesn't look too bad actually. If you don't care for the industrial look of the Moccamasters (I don't), most coffee machines look just horrid. So I've settled for the expendable 20 euro generic plastic blobs, buy a new one when it breaks or gets too dirty... (except at home I have a >15 year old Philips that just refuses to die).

  • Re: The Loudness Wars
It seems to vary. Take for example the remastered versions of Fleetwood Mac's Rumours ; the original master (which is or was available on CD) sounds fantastic. Very dynamic, all the instruments/guitar strums are still there as they should be, jumping out of the speakers at you, and the drums still sound fantastic/dynamic

  • Re: Beocord 3500 (1988) vu meter

Head alignment mostly affects higher frequencies, which contribute very little to the overall volume, so that's not a likely culprit. Cleaning and demagnetization can't hurt, but it could also be just a matter of your tapes aging, either due to not so optimal storage conditions, or the tapes themselves being not quite cutting edge. Do they sound
