Very interesting - the CL+ is easily distinguished from the other two - I suppose it rather depends on what you like. Certainly offers a choice.

The following might be helpful. My Beogram 4000 has its DIN lead mixd up so the tracks are reversed - hence the change compared to the CD - Snow 4. This was played on a CD5500 through the BM5500 and feed taken from the tape out to the Mac G5. The Beogram attaches to the phono input so that they use the same path. Snow 1 is the MMC20SH - a 20S retipped

Coming tomorrow - I don't blame Newcastle - they were promised it on Tuesday but it never arrived. Their communication has been exemplary and they were willing to do anything to get it delivered. Unfortunately I am working in the morning but hopefully my wife will sort them out! I should be back to make sure it works! I haven't moved anything

Yes - that is a forlorn hope! I have had three of these and even the one that Tim actually machined some parts for turned on me and shredded a good tape! Very nice when they work, but...

If anyone is to blame for the limited advertising on site, I am happy to be that person as I have always opposed any advertising at all and only accepted the minimum we could when we had no choice. I have

Right!! We have decided that my record is a lousy recording!! I have therefore recorded four more tracks - this time Camel - The Snow Goose. 15Mb snippets so not too big too download - have also discovered that my 4000 has the right and left channel transposed and can't be a**d to change it! Makes working out the CD very easy! There are 4 tracks

Tim doesn't hold back!! I have done a couple of the write ups but am probably a little more boring!! Tim does them from the position of repairing them so he tends to concentrate on bits that annoy him! The Beoworld articles were largely compiled by the original owner and are largely taken from product brochures - I do try to edit some of the more

Have to agree - get a late BV5. The price is a steal - better sound than the BV10 and plasma screens do have a certain something. If the screen was flat with the speaker surround, i would have had one of those instead of the BV10.

Two complete 7000 systems - not even I have done that! Are they different colours?
