  • Five dead pixels

Hi all: If I were to buy a 15" monitor with five dead pixels would it be a useless purchase - would five dead pixels if bunched together obscure vision? Thanks Graham

  • Re: Beovision 1 not responding to Beo 4

Right, so does the TV switch on at all or does it just remain in stand-by? I think that unless it recieves a command from the beo4 it stays in stand-by. However, my gutt feeling is that a component has blown on the TV and your being too quick is just coincidence. If not, you could try reprograming the beo4 but I cannot remember how to do this and think

  • Re: BeoSound 3200 Hard Drive Knackered Help!!

Hi: Again, someone more technical may correct me. However, I am sure the HD is a standard laptop type. I wanted to get a 3200 and upgrade the HD. However, apparently it is very difficult to do so. I haven't looked into it but I imagine that the HD has some kind of Linux coding on it which makes it readable by the player. I would suggest getting

  • Re: Beovision 1 not responding to Beo 4

Hi: If you have any other b&o equipment see if it operates that. If not get a mobile phone with a camera, point the lens at the infra-red emitter at the front of the remote (so you can see it on the view finder) and depress any of the buttons. If a flash of light is viewable through the camera phone then the remote is functioning. If not the remote

  • Re: Comments on BeoVision 1

Hi: I have this TV in my bedroom also and to be honest I would go as far as saying the sound is almost better than the sound produced by my 96 Avant. You realy should get the LS version or later (link slave) as opposed to the basic model discussed above as even if you are not to link it to anything else, the basic model is supplied with a simplified

  • Re: Beocentre AV5 project

Hi Keith: Thanks, yeah I don't actually own one, I was thinking of buying the AV5 as they are fairy cheap (on Ebay) and then putting the Avant (or whatever other mech) where the CD one is and then running a output cable from this through the case and then into a scart socket. Doing it this way would alleviate the software issues I guess. However

  • Beocentre AV5 project

Hi: I was wondering if anyone knew what the fesability of swapping out the CD mech on one of these for one from a DVD Avant were? Has anyone had a DCD Avant apart? Is the DVD mech connected to output to the screen by fairly standard cables? Its just an idea at present. Thus if a really stupid one feel free to say so. Thanks Graham

  • Re: Roomba

Hi: I don't know about the Beo5 but was thinking of getting a Roomba myself. Do you own one? Which model do you have? Are they worthwhile? Thanks Graham

  • Re: Thanks and need help for my B&O

Hi: You will not see a red light but a brightish flash (white light I think) if your remote is working. Here is what you need to do: 1 Place your camera or phone camera lens in close proximity to theremote control's emitter bulb (you should be able to see this through the view-finder). 2. Whilst looking through the viewfinder, depress any of the
