saf: mhw: and see if there is any yellow question marks or exclamation marks there... It indeed is full of them, mhw - and all related through some code description to BeoPort. So I'll go for major reinstall I guess, as this is where my abilities stop Okay, just let me know if you need any help!

  • Re: Problems with BeoPort/Beosound2

I don't have a Beosound 2, so I can't try anything myself, but I would take a look in Device Manager (Right Click on My Computer, choose Manage and click on Device Manager), and see if there is any yellow question marks or exclamation marks there... And maybe uninstall the Beosound 2... Worth a shot!

  • Re: Competition for BeoSound 2 Owners!

If you use Windows XP, just download THIS PowerToy, and install it. Then you just right click on a picture, select "Resize Pictures", choose the size you want and click OK. And just like that, it makes a small copy of the image - very simple!

  • Re: A classic stand question

What did you find out, Simon? I have a stand for an LX2500, but have an LX2800, so I was wondering if the only difference between the stands is the length of the bar, or if the bracket is another size as well... EDIT: I have done some more testing myself, and it seems that the only difference is the length of the bar!

  • Re: Pro-Ject Record Box USB

Try the microphone input, but my guess is that you won't be satisfied... There will most likely be a lot of noise, so an external USB soundcard is definitively recommended! I doubt the Beoport will do the job, but I don't know for sure...

  • Re: Problems with my Beosound 9000

You are trying to get sound from the TV to the Beosound, right? Are you sure you have the right adaptor? If it has two pairs of phono plugs, I believe you should use the ones labelled OUT... If it only got one pair, try to connect it to an input on your TV, and play a CD... If you get sound on the TV, it's the wrong adaptor... 5 pins or 7 pins don’t

  • Re: Are you using a NAS to store your media?

drevil2k2: So far, it's pretty quiet and the Mac and PC can see and access the drive. Only problem was that when the power goes out, the unit re-assigns itself a new IP and them becomes invisible to the network. Is it getting its IP from a DHCP server? In that case, have you tried to set it manually? Or is it forgetting its manual IP? I would recommend
