Must say I prefer Jays stand. It realy looks like a B&O factory product, well done. All in all though isn't the idea of Beo4 being made of zinc so it doesn't sweat in your hand. I'd still buy one for when it's not in use, just for display or for when you need to find it, rather than looking under the the couch and such. Bring on

Yes, I get the picture, I've been in many studios in my life but at the end of the day it's your living room and still has to be livable. Unless you have room for a dedicated listening room, that would be great! By the way great info.

Ask your retailer what option your BS3 and BS3200 should be set at. Could be that the system is getting double commands. Jez.

Carpet or hardfloor surfaces shouldn't make a big difference. Obviousley carpet would be better but the reason the the Beolab 5's have such big discs is so the sound envelopes out 90 degrees but doesn't hit the floor. The sub driver on BeoLab 5's face the ground because sub bass below 50 Hz is omni directional, therefore not being effected

I had that set up but with the BL2 sub. I ended up trading in BL3 (front) and BL2 for the BL5's. However I must say that as much as I love the BL3's they are a little weak on their own at the front. If it was me i would go the BL2 sub before going rears. If space is an issue and a sub is out of the question then the BL8000's would be a better
