2x front 2x back 1x sub Internal speakers function as center speaker... So only 3 PowerLink connections need to be added

In good old B&O tradition we'll probably see full surround in the MKII version. BeoVision8000/BeoCenter1 also had no surround in their first version. Since it appears that it has all the surroundsound logic on board then it's just a matter of fitting 3 extra PowerLink connections

Your dealer is wrong. Just checked my manual: SPEAKER 4 : Enhanced stereo sound in the front and rear speakers. The BeoLab 2 subwoofer is active.

I would be very surprised if Speaker4 is mono! As far as I have understood in Speaker4-mode the music is sent in stereo to the front speakers (excluding the centerspeaker) and in stereo to the back speakers.
