Nice one Puncher! The baby's in bed at the moment, but I will download these ready to try out in the morning once she's woken up. Best regards, Steve.

Hi popester, I'm not sure if your Pioneer receiver has pre-out sockets (RCA/phono/Cinch) on the back, if so you can easily connect Beolab 8000 speakers with standard RCA cables. Just set the speakers to "Line" mode using the switch in the hinged connection panel near the base. If your receiver only has speaker outputs, then you will need

Hi Peter, I will have the shelves ready on Monday 20th April and I've managed to keep the cost down to last year's level. Please have a look via my website (just click my sponsor banner at the foot of this page) and let me know what you think. Best regards, Steve.

Hi OllieBollie, Yes, this should be possible via SCART leads. All Avant models have plenty of SCART sockets and most Sony products have these fitted as well. for best results, use a good quality SCART cable with all 21 pins wired. Best regards, Steve. PS. That's not a silly question at all!

Hi Simon, Your cable went out this morning First Class, so it should be with you very soon. I will be interested to hear your comments on this when you've got it connected up! Many thanks Steve.

Hi Guys, Thanks for all your comments - I knew this would spark some debate! I agree that any listening tests of this nature need to be taken with a BIG pinch of salt, due to many factors, including the psophometric contour (the inability of the human ear to hear bass at low levels), room acoustics, active bass equalisation (on some Beolab speakers

Hi Ben, Glad you've got it sorted! I've been trying to track down an LX2800 to test this out and find the answer, but you've beaten me to it! I have added a note to the product page for this cable, giving the remote commands for Beo4, Beolink 1000 and Beolink Video, including the combination for Beolink 1000 when used with an older TV such

Hi everyone, I would be interested for your thoughts on this issue, as I've noticed that the quoted bass extension of some Beovox and Beolab speakers appears to be debatable and others seem to change depending on which year's brochure you read. I know that the measurement criteria have changed over the years, but I thought it might be interesting
