Take the powerlink out and take it all the way to the Penta I, then the adapter goes there...it splits off the low level (variable line level) off the PL....to the RCA ....AND it still gives you the Speaker link portion that carries ONLY the information for the display...(it's a small

    ahhh..I see....well Peter would be the expert on that...i've never used Speaker link to actually drive the speaker....so i wouldn't know... But I can tell you that the I's and II's sound identical in my set up...don't know about the III's...

    Hi Austin, I basically did what you are doing...bought a set of Penta 1's and a set of II's.... for the home theatre off the AV 7000... I suggest that if you are going to be installing wires in the walls to put in Powerlink...from your 4500, then the adapter to RCA AND Speaker link for the displays....it works just fine and the display is controled

    Yep...DP.....,, Graham is right....they are RCA inputs....you can usually get these Powerlink (8pin) to RCA outs for abour $15 usd off Ebay..... I know what you mean Graham....they can wake up the neighbors....

I've had such good luck with the Yamaha amps that i've bought 2 more off ebay from $300-500 USD each.... and hooked to a set of NS-1000's I'd like to hear any (ANY) speaker set compared to my M-85 hooked to this pair of NS-1000's... If you haven't ever heard these speakers...i'd suggest you hear

    A much cheaper alternative, is the Yamaha M-80 or M-85.....lots of clean power and headroom.....and much, much cheaper....... check out the specs.. http://www2.yamaha.co.jp/manual/pdf/av/english/SepA/M-85.pdf 260 RMS watts at .003% thd and will run 3 sets of speakers.....

  • ML and PL to DB9 and CAT6 STP

    Hi guys....we tried several times to drill out RJ45 plugs for the ML and PL...with not much luck...so.what we did was the following.. We have 5 link rooms and we ran CAT6 STP in the walls....and terminated with female DB9 connectors and then cut ML and PL cables in half and made DB9male to PL and ML (from the wall)... DB9 is available all over the world

  • 7 pin DIN (DATALINK) GENDER CHANGER

    Anyone know where I can get one of these.....????????????? I've got the CMM-10 cd changer that plugs into Tape 2 of my beocenter.....but it's MALE.....and i'm wanting to put it in the closet.....so I'll need to change from the MALE on the cd changer to a FEMALE.....7 pin DIN... Then I can just use an AUX link cable to extend....yes?
