  • Re: non B&O speaker options for an Ouverture

Hi Graham, first question: There are 2 possibilities both requiring din to xxx adapter cable (xxx = whatever needed by the third party amp): 1. Connect the third party amp to the Ouverture by using the AUX socket. That would require however that the volume & sound has to be controlled by the third party amp as the AUX output has fixed level. - Not

  • Re: A guide to OPTION.

Hi together, I read this thread with interest and came to the following assumption: Is it possible that the Beo1 is always operating in LINK mode? It might be worth a try to control your BV1 by the Beo4 by preceding each command with LINK, e.g. LINK SAT or LINK RADIO etc. (while the BV1 is configured to be controlled by the Beo1).

  • Re: LC2 no longer reacting to IR commands - help needed

Hi Keith, I don´t believe that the noise is caused by a motor. The photographs I took from the oscilloscope´s screen are not very clear due to multiple exposure (too long shutter time) and the signal is not totally stable. The real signal clearly shows some sharply formed bursts of data transmission (IMO) following the zero crossing of the

  • Re: LC2 no longer reacting to IR commands - help needed

Any idea which kind of electronic stuff is producing such a signal? May be something like a PowerLineCommunication or a babyphone? As the signal appeared to be quite strong, I connected the "antenna" to my headphone and the other terminal of the headphone to protective earth. A very slight hum could be heard although this headphone has a low

It seems to be synchronous with the 50 Hz mains frequency which is prooved by this picture (channel 2 of the scope is connected to the mains - the sharp sine wave added here).

This picture shows the signal I detected. Please note that the peak amplitude is more the 2 Volts! The signal is interrupted every 1/100 second.

  • Re: LC2 no longer reacting to IR commands - help needed

Hi Keith, I turned off all equipment in my appartment but with no success. Then I started examining the mains. I took my oscilloscope and checked my power outlets - nothing but a 50 Hz sine (or so) wave with some spikes that are obviously produced by other dimmers. However I noticed that there seems to be "something in the air". I constructed

  • Re: LC2 no longer reacting to IR commands - help needed

Hi Keith, yes, it´s a pity that the measurement devices didn´t cover frequencies in the range of the B&O IR system. A wide range of frequencies was not covered by them. Furthermore they did not allow to determine specific frequencies as e.g. a spectrum analyser could provide. Do you have any hints, which devices might produce electrical

However I didn´t detect any abnormal signals in the HF range. Neither in my appartment nor in my office. The highest signal is produced by the DECT base station of my BeoCom 6000, which is permanently emitting electromagnetic fields. The antenna allows for locating quite exactly the position of the signal source and I could clearly determine the
