Peter : Silly question from me! Why? The most up to date software is 1.6 for this model and only fixes a problem where the DVD can stop playing half way through. I don't think there are other advantages. It means replacing a chip on PCB1 but I am sure you could do this - if you had the chip! Not much inside the DVD1! A chip? Is that all it takes

No one has the answer to this one Erik. Please let us know if you find a solution! Regards David

I have the same problem with my MCL2AV. I cannot select A.AUX from this link. The only way to do it is from the central room. I can then monitor A.AUX on the (LX) TV. I can select all other audio sources except A.AUX. Using link> A.AUX does not work. I can however select A.AUX from both my MCL2A's. David

Anyone know what these are worth now? I have one in teak - owned from new perfect working order. Most 88XX/77XX/55XX don't even get off the mark on Ebay but the 9000 was a bit more special.

Good time now to trade up to a 32DVD - avoid the resellers/ebay and fantasy prices. Many B&O dealers P/X these for BV7 etc and need to move them on quickly. email around and see what turns up. Hope you're right about rarity value!

Thanks both. I do have the PCG and it says that to get the stereo sound from the central room you press source>AV>source. I can get the sound from the audio master but the MCL2AV/LX will not change from the last source selected (e.g radio). There is a brief silence then (radio) returns. A visit to an MCL2A or the central room is required to change

I am unable to select V.AUX or A.AUX from my LX (connected to an Avant/BC9500 via an MCL2AV) yet I can select these sources from MCL2A's in other rooms on the same system. The LX and link eye in the same room are both set to option 2. Does the software prevent these two commands? All the others work fine. No additional speakers are connected - I

Thanks Phil, Why would VAux sound better than (assume you mean) VTape? The second option of using a TV channel is better for access provided it suppots the RGB signal and stereo sound which I'm sure it will. Using the SAT button for direct access would be more logical. David

Is it possible to allocate the Beo4 'Sat' button to open AV1 or AV2? This was possible on older LX models but it is not apparent in the menu on this later MX (other than if an inbuilt beosat module is present). As a satellite reciever will be connected it would be preferable to using 'Vtape' for e.g. David
