You might consider re-selling it on eBay and sending the proceeds to the person who sold it to you. Minus X amount for your time & trouble to sell it.

This came with something that I bought a while ago and I'd like to know what it is before I throw it out (or give it to someone here if they want it). There is no brand name on it. The wire plugged into the 'IR' socket does appear to have an IR sensor on the end. Thanks in advance.

Statistics, at least, would back up their statement. Denmark is less than one-tenth of 1 percent of the world's population. To say that results of a survey conducted there are projectable globally would be lunacy. If the survey wasn't done scientifically by a reputable research company the results wouldn't even be indicative of Denmark.
