Does anyone know whether the BeoSound 9000 is a bit fussy with burnt CDs? I just tried to play a burnt Sony (sorry, but B&O don't make them!) disc which spins and pauses twice and sometimes does and sometimes doesn't play. Some others from the same pack are also a bit 'hesitant'. This is the only problem I've had with burned

Okay, I've removed the frets and unscrewed the main speaker to check the connection behind. Nothing seems amiss there. Could it be the amplifier? The top speaker is working. I don't pretend to know what I'm doing, I'm really just after some advice as to the feasability of repairing this. Is a new speaker an expensive purchase? Is a failed

It took me some time to organise transport of this system (something of a saga), but it finally came last week and I'm thrilled! The speakers are not so huge and sound wonderful... A couple of the leveling feet on both the BeoLab 1 speaker bases and the BeoSound 9000 CD stand are missing or worn, however. Can replacements be purchased? s

I just bought a Century on eBay. The sound from the left hand speaker is very faint. Adjusting the balance does not fix the problem. It has come on a rather long journey to get to me. Might a connection have come loose inside? If so, how easy is this to fix? Is there another possibility? Cheers Stuart

I second blacktony's advice about using the original B&O phone line. I had some similar problems and realised I had used a non-B&O phone line to connect to the socket. The correct one is black (as opposed to beige which a lot seem to be). I think it might have had four gold connectors as opposed to two on the non-B&O line. Good luck

I'm wondering if anyone can tell me whether the round base and the attachment plate of the floorstand for the BeoSound 9000 is removable from the pole. I need to know for shipping purposes. Cheers Stuart

I too miss all the photos from the previous site, but I didn't realise there was a reason why there were relatively few on the new site. Seems a shame if people are reluctant to post photos... s

I'm wondering if someone knows (or could measure) the dimensions of the column of the BL 1 speaker. I can only find the height and the diameter of the base. The column appears to be (sort of) ellipictical in cross section. This is the measurement I need. Cheers Stuart

I'm wondering if anyone remembers the movies that B&O had on their website a while ago - they showed the work done in the factory with aluminium, the hydroforming of the BeoCom 2, the assembly of a BeoLab 5 among other things... I can't find them anymore. I seem to recall they were linked to the "History" section of the website

Cheers - I'll see what I can come up with from all of that.
