Well,it would appear that Trip is acting true to form in posting patronising,or insulting, comments, and then subsequently denying that this was his intention. Throwing stones in pools to watch the ripples? Fortunately,my local dealer is not cast from a "Trip mould"!

beobeo, your analysis may well be valid for existing owners, but surely any manufacturer must attract new buyers of it's products if it is to prosper/survive. I have raised before the question of why B & O does not devote part of it's attention to making it's products easier to integrate with third party products eg BS3 with a Pioneer

Out of interest, since it's introduction, how many "improved"panels has the the BV9 had? Pity someone who bought the first generation! Given the rapid advancement in flat panel technology, does it make sense to buy an ultra expensive TV for it's build quality when 12/24 months down the line it's PQ will probably no longer be competetive

expoman: Sounds like the main circuit board could be fried. Happens from voltage spikes on the phone line or lighting some times. Are you sure the voltage transformer you bought is the right voltage. It should output 9 volts DC @ 300 milamps. I have recently purchased a Beotalk 1200 from a (UK) dealer. In the instruction book,it states Output 9V. However

Well Trip, does a Smiley really cover what could be construed as a patonising response to Camshaft? I have expressed my reservations about B & O in other threads,so I will not repeat them here. In answer to your final paragraph,I would suggest that, for a variety of reasons, not enough people(of all ages) are being convinced to follow B & O's

Razlaw: It amazes me all of the negative comments on this forum about B and O and its products. I always thought forums such as this were for fans of the product or topic, not for people who have nothing but negative comments to make. It is beginning to seem that those of us who genuinely appreciate, like and enjoy B and O products are in the minority

TripEnglish: Not to take us too far off topic, but this "incompatibility" myth should be put to bed. Exactly what is not compatible with what? BeoSystem 3s can run other manufacturer's panels, projectors, screens, lighting, drapery, DVD players, set top boxes, game consoles, media servers, etc. Their audio systems can accept any stereo

Personally,I think that it is a false hope that a knowledge of B & O's history,of technological innovations, would help to sell more of the current products. I think that the Company really needs to ask itself if it is wise/really able to operate in those areas where technology is rapidly changing, and where, for good or ill,price/performance comparisons

With all due respect,to query is not synonimous with to not understand. With a stated target demographic of the top 10% of USA households based on net worth, with an average net worth of $3.1 million, and an average annual income of $256,000,one is entitled to comment on some of the "luxury brands" listed in the results. Acoustic Research, with

soundproof: Some commenters here are missing the point. The Luxury Institute shouldn't put in or remove anything -- all they have done is ask a number of high-end luxury consumers to state which audiovisual brands they appreciate, and then rank those findings. The fact that a number of brands don't appear on the list illustrates that these brands
