What would be interesting, given your experience, is to hears your views after taking examples of your best and worst sounding CD's into a dealers and listening to them on both 9's & 5's instore.
Those two sound so different it's not even funny. The fact that people constantly compare them

This should be able to be done by unplugging the little scart cable at the back, and going into the service menu (press menu, select SETUP, then press 0, 0, GO) and selecting the chassis variant, internal VCR, no.

Yes, moving mine further way from the back wall made a positive difference, also changing the potentiometers on the speakers (treble to zero).
there is def something missing and after reading Dave's post i can see where he is coming from. i cannot keep adjusting my settings.
Yes. this is the biggest woe In my opinion, and it makes me miss my 4000's, they simply sounded right, where as these just don't and makes me question their value

i am getting quite used to the sound quick quickly after all of your help. One thing i have noticed is that since i have moved the lab 8000's out of the way there is more sound coming from the center speaker and less from the front right and front left. i have to be honest i think

Oh my god, that is amazing! Thanks for sharing that :)
Hello Lee Im envious.. though i do like my 9's... I just have so many hard surfaces in my living area they often sound a bit shrill. Listening to rubbish mp3's doesnt help either!! Tell you what, when you have a half price sale on beolab 5's and free postage to Oz I'll buy a pair from you!!!!!! Hope

I remember that! Why would you take a picture of this setup and post it on the internet, then justify it when people laugh? He said he couldn't afford a proper set of 4000's, but he had 6000's connected up in the same spot... two speakers obviously aren't loud enough? i will never understand but will continue to laugh
